Our scope covers securities trading law, contract law and data protection, alongside a dedicated focus on Anti-Financial Crime including Anti-Money Laundering (AML), fraud prevention, international sanction screening and Anti-Bribery & Corruption. We protect our platform and clients by ensuring integrity and compliance across the entire customer journey. Our work spans from Financial Crime Operations and Lifecycle Operations to Escalation Management, meaning we handle everything from verifying new clients and managing important account milestones to investigating financial crime and resolving complex client escalations. We balance rigorous regulatory requirements with a smooth user experience to keep Scalable Capital safe and trustworthy.

As an expert team with in-depth knowledge in asset allocation, portfolio management and trading, we provide clients with best-in-class investment strategies to reach their financial goals and build up long-term wealth. Our Credit team oversees and runs Scalable’s lending business across two key functions: Credit Office and Credit Operations. We define our Credit Framework and internal risk policies while actively monitoring our lending portfolio and ensuring a seamless, high-quality experience for our credit clients.

We provide an independent view of how well Scalable manages its risks and controls. Working across Scalable Capital Bank and the wider Scalable Group, we review key activities and processes based on risk. We assess whether controls work as intended and whether legal, regulatory and internal requirements are met.

Our role goes beyond identifying gaps. By working constructively with teams, we help create a shared understanding of risks and opportunities to strengthen processes and controls. We bring insights from across the organisation, clearly communicate our findings and follow up on agreed actions. In this way, we support Scalable in achieving its objectives and growing sustainably. We report our results to management and the supervisory board.

We provide competitive and reliable liquidity in shares, ETFs and ETPs on the European Investor Exchange (EIX). By combining market expertise, data, and technology, we price instruments, manage risk responsibly, and deliver a high-quality trading experience for our clients. We continuously improve our pricing and hedging capabilities to support Scalable’s growth and profitability.

We quantitative-proof the platform by developing, validating, and maintaining advanced financial risk models. Our team handles ongoing risk monitoring, ensures strict alignment with key regulatory frameworks, and powers core strategic assessments across market, credit, and liquidity risk, alongside comprehensive stress testing to keep the platform secure and resilient as we scale.

We support Scalable Capital in protecting the confidentiality, integrity, availability and authenticity of data and ICT assets, and in preventing or minimising the effects of information security incidents. Through the Information Security Management System (ISMS), we maintain the policies, standards, procedures and guidance used across the company.

We also oversee outsourcing and third party risk activities. Our Framework helps teams meet regulatory requirements, manage third-party risks and protect our business continuity.

As an expert team operating in a highly regulated environment, we serve as the primary point of contact for financial supervisory authorities, ensuring Scalable Capital operates on a rock-solid regulatory foundation while driving business innovation. We are the go-to team for regulatory screening and implementation, acting as a sparring partner for internal departments and guiding them through evolving legal frameworks. As the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for authorities like BaFin and the Bundesbank, we manage supervisory dialogues, handle license management and EU passporting notifications, prepare required regulatory filings, and coordinate the annual disclosure report. Our motivation is to provide best-practice guidance, establish robust structures, and enable safe, sustainable growth by seamlessly bridging complex financial regulation with modern wealth tech.

We grow the Broker by turning market opportunities into products, partnerships and better client experiences. Together with the firm’s senior leadership, Product, Marketing and other expert teams, we work with financial institutions and issuers to launch new services, improve existing ones and scale growth. We use data and AI-supported analysis to understand trends and make informed decisions.

We safeguard Scalable’s sustainable growth by building and maintaining a robust risk management ecosystem across our entire business. Our team drives the Risk Control Framework and ICAAP, defines the overall Risk Strategy, and continuously updates our Risk Inventory to keep pace with an evolving landscape. From Operational, ESG, Concentration, and Business & Strategic Risk Management to managing the New Products alongside cross-functional teams, we ensure every new initiative is backed by thorough analysis. Through comprehensive Risk Reporting, we provide senior leadership with transparent, actionable insights to make confident, risk-conscious decisions.
